FIRST MUCKNO PARISH  DRAW APPROACHES!

As the date for the first draw in the Parish of Muckno Super Draw approaches, the Parish Fundraising Committee has welcomed the very positive response that the draw has received both locally and further afield. A special meeting of promoters will take place in the Parish Centre on Wednesday next, 13 Nov, at 7.30pm when the details of the final push and round-up will be finalised. All promoters are asked to make a special effort to attend this important meeting.

The date for the first of the ten-month draw is Sunday 24 November next. The all-out effort by promoters and the warm reception of the draw by parishioners and others in surrounding areas has greatly enhanced the initiative. The Parish Fundraising Committee calls on all promoters to return their tickets and money to the parish office as soon as possible.

The draw is funding parish property developments and improvements in the parish, including the two churches of St Mary’s in Castleblayney and St Patrick’s in Oram and the cemetery in Castleblayney.

On Sunday next, following the 11.30am Mass in St Mary’s church, the new Priests’ Accomodation at Beech Corner will be solemnly blessed and consecrated. This will be followed be an Open Day whereby members of the public will be welcome to visit the new building from until 2.30pm.
