First Holy Communion: Our rescheduled celebration of the Sacrament of First Holy
Communion will take place next Saturday August 1st at 12 midday in St. Mary’s Church and
at 2pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Oram. The following Saturday, August 8th will also have
celebrations at 12noon and 2pm both in St. Mary’s Church.
We ask the following to be adhered to
 Only those registered for specific days & times to turn up
 Numbers strictly restricted to 5 people per family (this includes the child)
 Family sit together in one seat
 Families asked to be in the church 15 minutes before beginning of ceremony for instruction and guidance
 All Social Distancing & Covid Guideline to be followed
We thank you for your understanding and patience and pray that this special occasion may bring “Blessings” to
your family and our community. We ask the community to keep these families in your prayers.


Cleaning of Our Churches: Due to the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and
Confirmation extra clearing will be required between ceremonies.
First Holy Communion Cleaning Times
Sat 1st Aug at 1.30pm in St Mary’s Church
Sat 1st Aug at 3.30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Oram
Sat 8th Aug at 1.30pm in St. Mary’s and again at 4pm
Confirmation Cleaning Times
Cleaning of St. Mary’s Church will take place before each Confirmation ceremony at 6.30pm on Mon 17th; Tues
18th; Wed 19th; Thurs 20th and Fri 21st August. The Church will be closed from 6.20pm on these days.
We would like to express our gratitude to the parishioners who took on the task of cleaning our churches. Your
time and dedication is very much appreciated and we hope you will continue helping us to keep our Faith
Community safe. Anyone wishing to join the cleaning team can do so by contacting Kathleen in the Parish Office
or please just come along on the evenings that suit you.

Patricks Church, Oram.
